Bjørnfjell Chapel (Norwegian:Bjørnfjell kapell orBjørnefjell sportskapell) is achapel of theChurch of Norway inNarvik Municipality inNordland county,Norway. It is located in the rural village ofBjørnfjell, just west of the border withSweden. It is anannex chapel in the Bjerkvikparish which is part of theOfoten prosti (deanery) in theDiocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel was built in along church style in 1952 using plans drawn up by thearchitectBjarne Romsloe.[1] The chapel is located in a rural area that is populated with vacation cabins that are popular with the residents of the town of Narvik.[2]
