Jake William Martin (October 27, 1942 – March 14, 2018) was anAmerican footballtight end in theNational Football League (NFL) for theChicago Bears, theAtlanta Falcons, and theMinnesota Vikings. He playedcollege football atGeorgia Tech and wasdrafted in the second round (21st overall selection) of the1964 NFL draft. Martin was subsequently selected by theAtlanta Falcons in the1966 NFL Expansion Draft.
Martin playedhigh school football atGainesville High School inGainesville, Georgia.He was a teammate ofBilly Lothridge both at Gainesville High and Georgia Tech.
