TheAvre (French pronunciation:[avʁ]ⓘ) is a river inPicardy, France, and is the principal tributary, from the left side, of theRiver Somme.
At 66 kilometres (41 mi) long,[1] it drains a relatively important basin of 1,150 km² but only flows at best 5,1 m³/s near its confluence atLongueau.[2]
Its principal tributaries are: the Noye, joining atBoves, the Trois Doms joining atPierrepont-sur-Avre, the Brache joining atBraches and the Luce atBerteaucourt-les-Thennes.
