The island of Santorini where the Aidini grape variety is found.

Aidini (also spelledAidani andAedani) is a whiteGreek winegrape variety[1] that is grown primarily on the island ofSantorini but it can also be found on otherGreek isles in theAegean Sea. The grape is known for its floralaroma and is used mainly inwinemaking as a blending partner with grapes such asAthiri to makedry wines.[2]

The Aidini grape is known under several synonyms in the Mediterranean including Aidani Aspro, Aedano, Aedani, Aidano, Aspedano, Aspraidano, Asproaidani, Leyko, Lefko, Lafko Aidani and Lefko Ithani.
