The2007 All-SEC football team consists ofAmerican football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by theAssociated Press (AP) and the conference coaches for the2007 college football season.
TheLSU Tigers won the conference, beating theTennessee Volunteers 21 to 14 in theSEC Championship Game. The Tigers then won anational championship, defeating theBig Ten championOhio State Buckeyes 38 to 24 in theBCS National Championship Game.
FloridaquarterbackTim Tebow, AP selection, wonHeisman Trophy, the firstsophomore to do so. He also won the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year.Arkansasrunning backDarren McFadden, a unanimous selection by both the AP and the coaches and repeat winner of theDoak Walker Award as the nation's top running back, was the coaches Offensive Player of the Year. LSUdefensive tackleGlenn Dorsey, a unanimous selection by both the AP and the coaches, was the unanimous Defensive Player of the Year.[1] He also won theLombardi Award andNagurski Trophy.
