The history can be felt in every step of yours. It is materialized in the expositions of the Museum of Coins and Medals, which bring the history of the town, mining and minting closer. You can become a part of the exceptional experience in the underground adit Andrej with the atmosphere of the old mining works and the Kremnica mint opens its gates to the original mint, in which the billions of coins were minted.

During the summer the town livens up thanks to the happenings such as Music under diamond vault, Kremnica Castle Organ or Kremnické gagy. The town is located in the central, terrace-like part of Kremnicke mountains at 561 MSL and only 5 km from the geographical centre of Europe. Kremnicke mountains attract visitors during the winter with tens of kilometers of cross-country trails for recreational and skilled cross-country skiers; and during the summer for hikers and bikers.

Altitude, climate, mountain air and conditions for relaxation in the new Relax Centre make up good prerequisites for the recreation of beginners and professional athletes. Kremnica is a synonym of well-being also thanks to the thermal springs in the adjacent surroundings. Local natural water is slightly radioactive, strongly mineralized with healing effects.
