I have now been 'headmistress' of my school for 27 years. I am most fortunate to have a wonderful team of helpers – including the the rector's wife, the rector's sister (a governess in London much of the time) a pupil teacher, a good spinster, a monitress and of course the Squire. We all feel privileged to have the opportunity to give so many schoolchildren a unique and most memorable experience.
