Other Diaspora Jewish tongues include Aramaic (the language spoken by most Jews during Jesus' lifetime), Judeo-Greek, Judeo-Arabic,Judeo- Latin, Judeo-Italian, Judeo-French, and Judeo-Persian.
The words "Folk" and "Judeo-" suit the women's volume very well, for its songs are indeed folk songs (associated with the life cycle: birth, wedding, death, and sung by ordinary women for a home audience) and are in the Judeo-Arabic dialect.
