Studies in Mycology is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, full colour, fast-track journal which publishes systematic monographs of filamentous fungi and yeasts, and special topical issues related to all fields of mycology, biotechnology, ecology, molecular biology, pathology and systematics. There are no restrictions of length, but preference is given to manuscripts with impact, application and relevance to society. The journal appears in three volumes per year (March, June and September).
Studies in Mycology strongly supports good practice policies, and requires fungarium voucher specimens to be deposited in a fungarium with an online database such as theNational Herbarium of the Netherlands (L), cultures and DNA in long-term genetic resource collections such as theWesterdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute, sequences inGenBank, alignments in TreeBASE or other online public repositories such as Zenodo or Figshare, and taxonomic novelties inMycoBank.
