At Russia-InfoCentre, we are always happy to share new opinions and voices with our global audience.

Everyone complains about depressive news these days. A lot of people don't trust media and unplug their TVs. Arguably, Russia is the country where bad things happen too often... and yet we don't believe this is so. That's why we prefer telling you aboutMoscow monuments than the level of corruption; helping you discoveroutstanding Russian people instead of deploring the lack of choice at the upcoming 2012 elections; and opening up the treasures ofRussian culture and art.

We've got many sections on this site, so make sure you browse it well before writing to us. We cover everything, from Culture, Art, Science, and Business to the Internet, Fashion, Society, and Sport. We're waiting to hear from you, if you are:

- a Russian scholar who can share the news and developments of their discipline or their research;

- a foreign scholar who specialises in Russia (broadly put);

- an independent researcher (as above);

- a student with personal or academic interest in Russia;

- a journalist or blogger, passionate about Russia.

You can live in any corner of the world, and you may be from Russia or any other country. However, Russia must be your focus. You can narrate your student experiences or acquaint the global audience with your research; and you can present brief scholastic or journo-style articles on topics in Biology, Literature, Theatre, Sport, etc. The articles don't need to be long, they can be between 650 and 1200 words (1-2 A4 sheets), can be accompanied with images, and yes, we include YouTube videos. Of course, if you are keen on writing a series of articles, you are very welcome. We normally expect up to 2 articles from a contributor per week.

As for the criteria for becoming our contributor, you need to write good English, be proficient or have an above average understanding of your topic, and be an all-around positive reliable person.

As to how you will be recognised, we first and foremost will create your profile in our Contributors hall of fame. Any blogs, websites or portfolios you have will be mentioned at the end of your articles. The way we are funded, we cannot pay freelance contributors in monetary terms. However, you will be writing for 40K monthly audience, bringing your expertise and passion to everyone who is interested in Russia and the subject matter of your specialisation.

Indeed, from time to time a position arises, so there will be job opportunities at Russia-InfoCentre. Most importantly, though, we have been quoted by some heavy-weight tabloids (like, The NYT), which means your work will definitely get read. And, if you believe this can happen, many doors can open to you with Russia-InfoCentre.

To get in touch, fill in the form below, stating your name, email address, providing some info on what and where you have published before, and telling us what you specialise in, and what you can write for us.

We're looking forward to sharing your work with our readers!
