The College has worked with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to produce apatient decision aid on stopping benzodiazepines or z-drugs. This patient decision aid looks at:

• why someone might want to stop taking them
• the options available
• choosing the best time to stop or reduce benzodiazepines or z-drugs
• what reducing or stopping might involve
• what else can help.
