Providing reasonable adjustments

Essential guidance for mental health employers

Disability inequities make it difficult for staff with disabilities to thrive at work , and they impact the quality of care that healthcare services can provide as well as the cost of replacing staff who leave work.

Nearly a quarter of employers still fail to consistently provide the necessary adjustments for staff with disabilities, highlighting the disconnnect between equality legislation and reality.

We've brought together lived experience of disability and professional expertise to develop this comprehensive guidance. It contains15 actionable recommendations to implement reasonable adjustments.

The guidance aims to support organisations to provide equitable, inclusive workplaces where individuals with disabilities can flourish.

Support ourDelivering for Disability campaign, and help encourage mental health employers to adopt the guidance.
