A D River, I see the union hivemind is alive and well - ranting about an issue that you can't even vouch for, never having once driven the proposed new train, and hiding behind a pseudonym to avoid identification while threatening strike action. You're pathetic.I for one welcome an affordable solution to the current rolling stock shortage, and find this scheme far preferable to outsourcing the construction of new units to another country. The unit is brand new save for the bogies and bodyshell and I presume will be a massive improvement for the passengers currently suffering Pacers on northern and rural routes. But then, logic and reason have never applied while the likes of ASLEF and RMT continue to stoke the North-South divide to line their own pockets.I wish the D78 conversion scheme the best success.
