The last picture is wrong. Osman pasha sourounded to an Romanian colonel(Cristodulo Cerchez), and his words were: I will handover my sword to the brave Romanian army. In fact during the battles the only tactical succes was obtained by Romanian army by taking the grivitza 1 redoubt. |

It was interesting to see this because my great grandfathers brother died there 24.10.1877 in Russian troops. In Russian troops there were many Finnish officers and solieders among them Karl Sihlman (Carl Constantin Sihlman) who falled in the strikes. |
