UN Map updated on August 1950 based on: Village Statistics of 1945. Note the lower corners for important details
A Brief Introduction
Village Statistics (one oftwoprimary sources based on whichUN partitioned Palestine in late 1947) is a rare and important book that was first published by the Palestine Government in 1937 under the request of the Peel Commission, which was used to draw the first proposed partition plan in 1937 (known as thePeel Partition Plan). At the time, it had limited circulation, and later it was updated with a newer version to represent 1945 village statistics.Mr. Sami Hadawi (GB entrusted him tocompile this book who was a prominent Palestinian scholars) republished this important book in a manageable size. Theoriginal version was printed in a single large table that spanned many pages; which you candownload for free (but it is over 50 MB in size), andhere is the 1938 version hosted at Israeli National Library. In this edition, Mr. Hadawi added some important explanations and notes which the original version didn't have. Just in case youdistrust our Zionist and British Mandate sources,HERE is the founder of the "Jewish state,"David Ben-Gurion, confirming similar information as late as January 1966 (7 years before he died), which implies that several Zionist myths wereconcocted after the 67 War whenAmerican Jewry embraced Zionism in mass.
Important Notes
As you contemplate the below data, please note:
- As of 1947, Jews in Palestine ownedUNDER 6% of the lands, and after the 1948 war ofNakba close to 80% of the Palestinian people wereDISPOSSESSED of their lands, homes, farms, and businesses. Keep in mind thePalestinian citizens of Israel (who make up20% of citizens) are limited tounder 3% of the land.
- Although Jews were a 1/3 of the total population, only1/4th of thosegained Palestinian citizenship! The rest were eitherimmigrants or refugees.
- Over 90% of Jewish-owned lands weretitled in the name ofZionist Colonization Corporations (such as Keren Hayesod, Hanotiya, andJNF); which are neither a citizen nor an individual! Jews in mass preferred to live with the Gentiles in the Americas, that is where they bought their lands.
David Ben-Gurion: we're the aggressors; Arabs defend themselves. (Righteous Victims, p.652) - It is revealing how we found only a handful of land deeds for theJewish citizens of Palestine; which explains why Israelislease rather than own the land (either from the state or JNF). On the other hand, Palestinians still have their originaldeeds in the tens of thousands;here is our growing list.
- Concerning Beersheba, miri, and public (a.k.a. State domain) lands, we haveaddressed those in depth from primary sources inanother section, if you are interested, pleaseclick here.
Hitler's Message To The West: If Jews are such noble citizens and you care about them, how come you're not letting them in? - Much to our surprise, we've discovered that as late as 1938,David Ben-Gurion (the founding father of the "Jewish state")wrote to his son Amos about his plans (more like a dream) of blooming the Negev desert (meaning it wasn't blooming at the time) and most importantly David admitted it wasbarren and it was thinly populated by Jews.
