Balti-A

The Balti-A script was used between the 15th and 17th centuries to write Balti, a Tibetic language spoken in Baltistan in Pakistan and Ladakh in India. After the 17th century it was was replaced by the Perso-Arabic script. Balti is also written with the Tibetan script.

Transliteration

Čā zernah xudā-shi khuri bui-kha čes-lux bya-khan kun mi ši, do-pace khong-lah hrtane duk-pi xson-luk thop-tuk, zere, khuri bu čik-bu mins; dice khosi mi-yul-po-lah rgas.

Translation

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
