Singles: Ed sheeran debuts at #1 with 60k sales, 32k less than 'Bad Habits'. Of 'Eyes Closed''s 60k, 24k were Cd's and 32k were streams. After 10 weeks, Flowers falls to #2 with 46,886 sales. Close up behind at #3 is 'Miracle', with 46,154 sales, just 732 away from 'Flowers. Libianca's 'People' jumps 5-4 with 32k sales, up 4k from last week. The song has been on an increase for 8 consecutive weeks now. The last song to achieve this was 'Go' by Cat Burns. Dropping 3-5 is The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's 'Die for you' with 28.5k, down just under 4k, and due ACR next week. Down 4-6 is Rema And Selena Gomez's 'Calm Down', which dips to 28.4k, and is finally on 1WD.

Albums: Lana Del Ray has surpassed 'P!NK' for the album with the biggest opening week, as Did you know... opens with 41k, 4k more then when 'Trustfall' opened with 37k. Of this, 20k were Vinyl sales, and 7k were streaming. With 41k sales, Did you know... becomes Lana's biggest opening week since 'Ultraviolence'. Surprisingly, the entire top 4 albums sold over 10k this week, with #2 at 22k, #3 at 20k and #4 at 13k. Luke Combs debuts at #5 with 9.8k. Funnily enough, all these albums could've been #1 in past weeks.

bit of a shame that i didn’t really like the contortionist, but that doesn’t stop it from being a great listen overall.

Hmm, I’m in two minds about ‘Eyes Closed’… on one hand, it’s definitely refreshing to see a change at the top for the first time since the middle of January, especially when the song is much better than ‘Bad Habits’ & ‘Shivers’ (particularly in the writing!).

On the other hand, this is Ed’s fourteenth #1 single, so I really wouldn’t want to see him stuck at the top spot for weeks on end like he was in 2017 or 2021.

Hoping ‘Miracle’ & especially ‘People’ have a chance to get there next! 🤞
