DEPTFORD TWP. — More than 45 musicians, poets, dancers and actors will take the stage Friday evening to share their talents during Gloucester County College's Vanguard Fine Arts Club’s Open Mic Night.
A variety of short skits, poetry readings and musical performances — including piano, guitar, drums, and vocals — are planned for a night dedicated to showcasing students’ talents. Handmade jewelry, art work and tee shirts will also be on sale. A free-will donation is the cost of admittance.
The Vanguard Fine Arts Club is a group of creative poets, writers, artists, and photographers who get together to talk about creativity and critique each other's work in a spirit of constructive criticism and encouragement. The club is also instrumental in creating the College’s literary magazine.
The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. in the College Center mezzanine.
