It is difficult to get the exact number of remaining P-51 Mustangs. Wecounted the number of complete aircraft plus projects that are restorable.Serial numbers that are just parts, or wrecks that are considered "destroyed"were not counted. Of course, as warbird fanatics restore the un-restorable,the total number will change. It will also change when two aircraft areused to restore one or if we lose any to accidents.
