Even when there’s a comically large moon that feels ripped from a Méliès movie undercutting whatever emotional drama Ayer wants to pull in the film’s climactic raid on a brothel, it doesn’t matter. Because if “The Meg,” “Wrath of Man” or “The Beekeeper” proved anything, it’s that it doesn’t matter how outlandish or overcooked the movie is. Nothing can slow down Statham.

A macho fantasy about a dad acting out his daughter-saving fantasy by rescuing a surrogate child, with Statham talking tough and acting tougher in typically forthright fashion.

Every action movie with Jason Statham as the lead protagonist is always good.

A Working Man is exactly what you expect when you unleash Statham on a noble mission.

It’s always been clear that Ayer is a sensitive guy, and you can tell that he delights in forcing Statham to embrace his vulnerable side.
This Statham exercise, like most, is mainly about body count. While that seems to be what his faithful fans want, it just gets kind of tedious for the rest of us.

Some of the movie’s cartoon mayhem is fun enough. The rest feels like, well, work.

Like a parody of a Jason Statham film, without any of the joy that might imply. This Working Man just doesn’t work.

Whether or not you’ll like this film depends on how you feel about 80’s - 90’s bad action movies. If you enjoyed those bad Schwarzenegger/Stallone/Van Damme movies - you’ll probably like this film. It’s nothing breaking the mold. Just the classic formula.

‘A Working Man’ is another "classic" style action film where Jason Statham is the indestructible hero on a mission in which nothing can stand in his way. It works decently overall if you turn your brain off and enjoy the action. But it has the typical bad acting and bad dialogue along with a subplot that in the end, has no bearing on the film or the audienceIn the end, ‘A Working Man’ can be an entertaining time but it relies heavily on the classic action movie cliches and doesn’t really offer anything new. But, at the same time, if that’s what you want out of a movie experience, it’ll check a lot of those boxes for you and leave you with a decent action film overall.Brad: 6Josh: 6.5Final: 6

Jason Statham continues to be the same talentless, unlikeable, bald, limey manlet who plays the exact same generic, chauvinistic action dudebro role in all the awful movies he stars in. This movie continues the same tired, worn out, racist trope of the evil Russian/Eastern European mob villains who are all one dimensional, cartoon villains. Dehumanising and stereotyping Russians/slavs is a-okay with American/Angloids, but if any other POCs like black people or hispanics were given the same treatment that Hollywood/Anglosaxon media gives to Eastern Europeans, it would 100% get called out for the racism that it actually is. It took Ukraine getting invaded for some kind of backlash to occur when one of Guy Ritchie’s awful movies that had Ukrainians as villains was delayed, and yet business continued shortly after. Absolutely repulsive, hateful tripe. Hollywood/Anglos are hypocritical when it comes to deciding what is bigotry/racism and what isn’t when it chooses its “acceptable targets”. Absolute dreck. Avoid at all costs.@AnActorExplains"Don't mess with the average American "My brother in christ, the main character is BRITISH. If you need a limey to showcase your juvenile jingoism, than just shows how pathetic America actually is.Also, outsiders don't need to mess with America. Your sh***thole country is more than capable of ruining/tearing itself apart from the inside.
