Reanimal is a horror story, a journey through hell made up of the simple, elegant gameplay that Tarsier has honed to a feather's edge over the last decade.
Feb 13, 2026
Reanimal is a standout addition to the survival horror genre, building upon the successful foundation established by Little Nightmares while confidently carving out its own identity. By refining the tense atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and unsettling creature design that made its predecessor so memorable, it delivers a more focused and immersive experience. The result is not only a meaningful evolution of a proven formula, but also one of the most impressive indie releases of the year.

Honestly blew my expectations even tho i had a lot of expectation from the trailer. The game is a bit pricy but so worth the experience. Really hope this game gets the attention it deserves.

Uma evolução incrível do q foi Little Nightmares 1 e 2, vale muito a pena dar uma chance para essa obra

Reanimal is a well-executed blend of a terrifying, grim atmosphere and a fresh twist on gameplay: co-op and 3D environments. The game masterfully handles exploration, puzzle-solving, and preying upon our deepest fears. Complementing this is a cooperative mode that fits the formula perfectly. It doesn't aim to break the mold, but stands as a worthy successor to the original Little Nightmares.

Reanimal may be brief, but it leaves an impression. The game has no friction in terms of gameplay, reserving it all for a story that requires significant reflection to wrap your head around. Your mileage may vary, but I found its bleakness rewarding and evocative.

Seeing Reanimal through in one sitting made me feel like I'd accompanied the siblings on their journey, holding their tiny, innocent hands as they uncovered horrors beyond comprehension. The conclusion of Reanimal leaves the door open for further explanation, so the incoming DLC for the game has me genuinely excited. Unfortunately, I am still left with a bunch of questions, and with no release date for the DLC, I'm in a state of purgatory. The imagery and implications linger in my mind much like the siblings' nightmares. While Reanimal is certainly unsettling, it's also quite beautiful. It shines a light on the importance of companionship--while you may face moments of uncertainty, and unsafety, you're not alone. And that's invaluable.

Reanimal is Little Nightmares with another name and THQ Nordic as editor, for better or worse. It introduces some interesting new features and it is quite fun, but it doesn't take any risks and its animal fable about human violence is a little bit confusing.

And, yes, the handful of marquee moments spent running from or tussling with gargantuan creatures are spectacular. I will never turn my back on a pelican again as long as I live. Throughout, Reanimal drip-feeds clues to compelling mysteries surrounding the nature of its world and the children’s place within it. A shame, then, that it whiffs its apparent swing at recapturing the gut-punch of Little Nightmares II’s ending.

"It was a sweet and beautiful experience, though I wish there had been a bit more innovation. I really enjoyed it—it felt like the true successor to Little Nightmares 1 and 2. However, using this same formula again in the next game would definitely feel stale."

its a solid 7 - you lose a point for being 4 hours long for a $44 game , not explaining anything about the story, and for buggy game play. so 7/10 is about right, game shouldnt be more than 10-15 bucks imo its nothing special - torrent this game

I’s fine. It captures some of the magic of the original Little Nightmares, with a couple of very disturbing scenes, with unique, haunting imagery; but unfortunately roughly 70% of the game lends itself to cliche horror tropes, that does little to move the needle. A few of the monsters are very inspiring though, but most of them also plays it very safe and leans a little too heavy into LN, for Reanimal to define it’s own identity and aesthetic. Also, a certain combat-focused chapter of the game, is frankly quite awful, and kills any and all suspense for a good while, which is a shame given the game is just a few hours longIf you can enjoy the game for what it is though, there’s some beautiful visuals, interesting settings and amazing audio to enjoy here - just don’t go in, expecting to have the rug swept away from underneath you, like LN for so many of years almost ten years ago.

I played it on PlayStation 5, and my first major disappointment is that the game doesn’t use the DualSense’s advanced haptic feedback features at all, even though the game offers countless possibilities for it. They didn’t even try!My second disappointment is the audio. It’s very weak and lacks detail, which unfortunately hurts the immersion quite a bit.The third disappointment is the gameplay, which doesn’t offer anything special. On top of that, the fact that the camera stays very far away from the characters most of the time takes away a lot of the immersion and overall impact of the game. The fourth disappointment is the soundtrack. It’s not bad, but there’s nothing particularly memorable or special about it.The fifth disappointment and perhaps the most serious one is the pacing. Even though the game is short, I found it very tiring. The biggest positive aspect of the game is the graphics, but that alone didn’t help it much.I honestly prefer Little Nightmares by far.

I was overly disappointed in the game. None of the enemy characters get much screen time or development throughout the story. It felt very rushed and overall a very short game. I completed it in under 3hrs. Which makes it overpriced for what you get. I think the dlc should be included in the £34.99, not charged as extra. I think the game holds a lot of potential, but it's very disorganised and lacking any kind of storyline or plot. It's also like they tried to cram in a load of different aspects, characters and enemies so nothing actually got any time to be fleshed out and expanded upon.I really wanted to love the game, it was hyped up so much and the trailers looked amazing. So I've been so excited to play it. I've completed it twice, and got 100% on my second playthrough - in the same day. The secret ending didn't add much and theres not any replay factor to it.Overall the gameplay and visuals are good, but there is no lore, backstory or plot to this game at all.

SummaryThe original creators of Little Nightmares & Little Nightmares II have returned to take you on a more terrifying journey than ever before. In this co-op horror adventure game, you play as a brother & sister who go through hell to rescue their missing friends. Exploring by boat and on land, you must use your wits to survive, work together...
