Tomatoes,[1] also calledgiant tomatoes,[2] are large, mutated tomato enemies inDonkey Kong 64, possibly inspired from the tomatoes from theAttack of the Killer Tomatoes franchise. They have a sinister-looking face and a set of sharp teeth. A few Tomatoes appear inFungi Forest during the night, at the area nearFunky's Store. If aKong is nearby, the Tomato lunges at them. Tomatoes are invulnerable to nearly every attack, including musical instrument moves, and can only be defeated fromChunky Kong jumping onto them asHunky Chunky. This is required to help theWorm, who says that the Tomatoes ate all of its friends, and fears it will be next.
