Toadsworth the Younger^[1] isToadsworth in his middle-aged years who appears inMario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Ever since he was young, he has been worrying aboutPrincess Peach, though much less than the future Toadsworth. He and the present Toadsworth team up and teach the Mario Bros. new moves, including theSpin Jump andBros. Ball (as well as advanced variations of these moves, theBaby Spin andBaby Cakes, respectively) while trying to entertainBaby Peach.

Toadsworth the Younger looks fairly similar to his future self in overall appearance, only with a few differences. He wears a red vest rather than purple and has a brown mustache (black in-game) rather than the usual white. His mushroom "cap" is bright beige with brown round spots, and he wears a red bowtie, but he does not wear the purple dress shirt that his future self wears. Also, unlike his future counterpart, he does not wear glasses or occupy a cane. He also always has his eyebrows raised.

When Baby Peach is sent flying through a hole after the move Baby Cakes is learned, Toadsworth the Younger says that she is not in anothercastle, a reference to the line used by variousToads inSuper Mario Bros.
