ASwipin' Stu,[1][2] also known as aFlying Goomba,[3]Doro Kuri,[4] andKuri,[5] is anenemy inSuper Mario Sunshine. It is a green variety ofWinged Strollin' Stu. Swipin' Stus are larger than the blue Winged Strollin' Stus. The green pattern wraps around the Swipin' Stu's head, similar to a hoodie. A Swipin' Stu's skin is slightly darker than that of a normalStrollin' Stu. Swipin' Stus attack whenMario walks beneath them, attempting to land on him. If a Swipin' Stu lands successfully, it stealshis cap and sprouts a mustache similar to Mario's. Mario can retrieve his cap by eitherground-pounding the Swipin' Stu or reenteringPinna Park. Swipin' Stus drop fivecoins when defeated.
Originally, Swipin' Stus with feet and no wings were intended to appear during the boss fight withKing Boo.[6] However, this was removed from the final game.
