Sunken Treasure is the first mission of theBeach Bowl Galaxy inSuper Mario Galaxy. The mission's objective is to reach the top of the main planet.
Layout[edit]
The player will start off on one of many islands in theHeavenly Beach Planet. In order to progress, the player has to find fiveStar Chips (called "sparklies" by the localpenguins) scattered underwater; all of which are encased in bubbles. Two are found in the open, one is located next to a largeGringill, another is found in acrate on the waterbed, and the final one is found in aClampy. Once all five are collected, aLaunch Star will appear that will launchMario to near the top of the planet. This area has severalPiranha Plants and aWiggler, as well as a? Coin that will produce a trail ofnotes that will reward the player with a1-Up Mushroom when collected. On the opposite end of the area from where the player started is a! Switch that will cause platforms to appear, and will disappear after a set time. Crossing them to reach an upper platform, the player will find another ! Switch that will create walls the player has toWall Jump up in order to reach thePower Star trapped in a largecrystal.

- Through a well-placedTriple Jump off a certain tree, it is possible to complete this mission without collecting theStar Chips.
