History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
In their debut appearance, Skiddas only appear in a few snow levels; they are first encountered inSkidda's Row, as the main and titular enemy, and appear in two later levels:Tearaway Toboggan andLemguin Lunge. Skiddas either slide across the icy ground or across the snow-capped roof of a chalet; in the latter instance,Dixie Kong andKiddy Kong can avoid the Skidda by going beneath the chalet. Like Kobbles, Skiddas are vulnerable to any attack, and theKongs can defeat them with one hit. A photograph of a Skidda appears inDixie Kong's Photo Album, being classified as part of theKremling Kreeps enemy class.
In theGame Boy Advance version, Skiddas, like Kobbles make a whining, high-pitched noise when defeated. Skiddas appear in more levels since Kobbles were removed fromTidal Trouble.
Donkey Kong Land III
Skiddas return inDonkey Kong Land III, where they have the same role and behavior as inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Like the previous game, Skiddas appear in three more snow levels:Black Ice Blitz,Polar Pitfalls, andTundra Blunda. Skidda and Kobble have the exact same sprite when defeated, even inDonkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong, in which both enemies are depicted green.
