Shuntaro Furukawa (古川 俊太郎Furukawa Shuntarō) is the sixth and current president ofNintendo. He was appointed on June 28, 2018, afterTatsumi Kimishima stepped down.[1][2] Furukawa had previously been the General Manager of Corporate Planning Department in 2015 and then the Managing Executive Officer of the Corporate Analysis & Administration Division in 2016.
Furukawa is credited inThe Super Mario Bros. Movie as "President of Nintendo."
