RMX Vanilla Lake 2 is a race course inMario Kart Tour. Like itspredecessor, it is aremix course based on theVanilla Lake courses fromSuper Mario Kart. The course debuted in the2023 Sundae Tour. It features a small forest and numerous igloos, unlike any other Vanilla Lake course. It is the first RMX course to feature any terrain elevation that is not part of the course layout proper. It is also the tenth and final RMX course added to the game, prior to the end ofTour receiving new content.
Like the otherVanilla Lake courses in the game, it uses the original arrangement fromSuper Mario Kart. This course is also the first remix course to be added in the game sinceRMX Donut Plains 1 in theBattle Tour twenty-four tours prior.
Course layout
Racers start besides a bridge before a large igloo. Racers drive along the straightaway, progressing through the igloo, avoiding a pair ofPenguins as they do so. After crossing over a second bridge, racers take a wide right turn, before taking a slightly less steep left turn to drive in between two more igloos. A U-bend to the right is taken before a straightaway leads racers to a steep ramp, leading them to aglide ramp that leads them over the giant igloo from earlier. Upon landing again, racers progress through a not-so dense forest of snowy trees, with the road splitting into a fork that surrounds another igloo. After one last left turn, racers reach the finish line. Throughout the course, racers can encounter manysnowpeople, two of which block shortcut routes.
This course also appears asRMX Vanilla Lake 2R (reversed),RMX Vanilla Lake 2T (with ramps), andRMX Vanilla Lake 2R/T (reversed with ramps). In the T and R/T variants, both Penguins are gone as well as the gliding section. In the R/T variant, the length of the track is significantly extended via a section ofKanaami Road, and racers now glide over the igloo at the end of the track.
