Oysters,[1][2] also referred to asclams,[3][4][5] are large sinister-looking enemies inDonkey Kong 64. A total of five appears, all atGloomy Galleon, inside a locked chest that can be entered only byTiny Kong entering the keyhole in herMini-Monkey form. The oysters open and close their mouths repeatedly, and each of them has apearl in its mouth. Oysters are stationary and indestructible, and they damage Tiny if they close while she is inside them. Retrieving the oysters' pearls is necessary to receive aGolden Banana from theMermaid.
