Mushroom Times
TheMushroom Times is a newspaper first mentioned in the issue "Bedtime for Drain-Head" of theNintendo Comics System, in whichMario tellsLuigi to write theMushroom Times a letter after being told thatBowser has kidnappedToad. It is a parody of the American daily newspaperThe New York Times.
TheMushroom Times later appears in the instruction booklet ofMario Pinball Land.[1] It explains thatPrincess Peach was launched toBowser's castle with theSky Cannon during the ceremony and that Mario went to save her. It also includes additional information about thePinballer and the Sky Cannon. The newspaper contains four images, depicting Peach,Goombas, and Mario. The instruction booklet states that theMushroom Times is a daily newspaper located on Toadstool Street and Second Avenue.
