He is one of the few people to have been involved in all three Rare-developed installments of theDonkey Kong Country series as well asDonkey Kong 64, for which he did backgrounds, modeling, animation, and created most of the promotional artwork for the series.[1] In addition to his work onDonkey Kong Country, he was the Lead Artist for another Rare title,Kameo: Elements of Power.
Mark Stevenson was one of several Rare employees to leave the company in 2014 to foundPlaytonic Games, which successfully crowdfundedYooka-Laylee on May 1, 2015.
