Knockas areenemies introduced inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. These green lankyKremlings hide in greenbarrels with menacing faces painted on them. They are the successor ofKlobbers fromDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, but Knockas are different mainly from the fact that they wear a barrel with a noticeably different appearance from regular barrels. Knockas have two variants,Klasps andKuchukas; the former climbs across a horizontalrope while hiding inside aTNT Barrel, while the latter stays inside a purple barrel and throws bombs atDixie Kong andKiddy Kong.
History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Knockas are enemies inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They hide in their barrel at first, dormant, until being approached byDixie Kong orKiddy Kong, then the Knocka begins to run after them. Knockas cannot damage the player characters directly and opt for trying to push them into another enemy or a pit instead. A Knocka can be defeated if theKongjumps onto it, picks up the Knocka, and throws it at a surface. InDixie Kong's Photo Album, a Knocka is categorized under theKremling Kreeps.
In theremake, Knockas use the same voice clips as Klobbers from theprevious game. Additionally, the remake also introducesKrackas, a variant of Klasp behaving like Knockas.
Donkey Kong Land III
Knockas, namedKrushas in the ending, appear with the same role inDonkey Kong Land III. In the JapaneseGame Boy Color release, a Krusha changes from green to red only while being carried, using the exact sprite and palette as a barrel when carried.
