Golden Plains
Golden Plains is astage inSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is based onWorld 1 ofNew Super Mario Bros. 2 and contains manycoins scattered across the stage,Warp Pipes, and both stationary and movingplatforms.
Layout
AnArrow Sign occasionally pops up on-screen, causing the stage to move accordingly. In multiplayer battles inSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the stage does not scroll, staying in only the first area. The middle section of the stage features three flat platforms side by side, with the center platform and a Warp Pipe raised up. A stationary platform is in the right side of the area, and two moving platforms are on both sides. On the left portion are twotrees on the left side of the area, two stationary platforms, and apit. On the right side are twoMushroom Platforms, a pair ofScale Lifts, and two stationary platforms. AP-Switch sometimes appears, causingBlue Coins to appear temporarily when stepped on, as well as aRed Ring, which generates eightRed Coins, worth five coins each. The number of coins eachfighter collects is displayed in the UI showing their damage. If 100 coins are collected, the fighter will temporarily turngolden, increasing their attack power but preventing them from being able to collect coins. They also do not flinch, although they are still vulnerable tograbs.
TheOmega form features a flat plain with Warp Pipes on both sides. The stage gimmicks are been removed; no coins appear during the match, and the stage does not scroll. InSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, the omega variant has been reshaped to resembleFinal Destination, resulting in a platform suspended in midair, and no pipes. TheBattlefield form is nearly identical, although with three additional small platforms in the positions that match the regularBattlefield.

- Tips
- "Step on the P Switch (or just hit it) to make blue coins appear. They won't stay around for long, so look lively!"
- "The scalelike platforms will tilt and fall if there is no one on the other side. Get two fighters on there to see who weighs more!"
- "Collect 100 coins and you'll turn to gold! You'll become generally more powerful and won't flinch at all."
- "Touch the red ring to make eight red coins appear. One red coin is worth five regular coins!"
