Explosive barrels,[1][2] also referred to asbarrels of TNT,[3][4] are items inDonkey Kong Land that appear at the end of certain levels. They resemble ordinarybarrels with an image of abomb blinking over them. Unlike normal barrels, these are not grabbed; they are collected as standard items. They are used to destroyrocks on the world map near the levels they appear in, which lead further into the game. As such, the levels that contain explosive barrels are often themselves dead ends on the map. Explosive barrels appear inDeck Trek,Snake Charmer's Challenge, andChomp's Coliseum.
