<<List of worlds>>

Dashing Desert is the fifth world ofMario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. During this world, the player is acquainted with a new gameplay mechanic, theBlue Lift, which is used to elevate the Minis to platforms located directly above or bring them to a lower level. LiftPickups are also introduced along with them. Mechanics introduced in previous worlds, such asGirders,Springs,Cannons and (Purple)conveyors, make a return in Dashing Desert. Three new enemies—Pokeys,Piranha Plants and aCapture Kong—are encountered here for the first time in the game, whileFire Piranha Plants reappear from theprevious world.Mini Paulines also begin to appear in this world.

The background features several Egyptian pyramids, along with two gigantic skulls ofDry Bones resting in the dunes, surrounded by a few stoneShy Guy statues and palm trees. The soundtrack that plays in this area is a variation of the soundtrack ofSandstorm Steps fromMario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!

There are twoBonus Levels that are set in this world,B-9 andB-10.
