TheBullet Bill Mask is an item inSuper Mario Maker 2 added in the April 22, 2020 update, available only in theSuper Mario 3D World style. It is a maskMario,Luigi,Toad, orToadette can wear to resemble aBullet Bill and gain its abilities, similarly to theGoomba Mask. With the Bullet Bill Mask, the player can fly in a horizontal line for a short period of time (or indefinitely if used underwater), leaving a trail of colored smoke based on the corresponding character.

If the player crashes into a wall or an enemy they will lose the mask and gain damage invincibility but crashing into a wall will not count against a no damage restriction. If two players with Bullet Bill Masks crash into each other, they both lose their respective masks. In the underwater theme, the Bullet Bill Mask can still be used unlike other flight-related power-ups, although it travels slower.
