Blazing Lassos is a Duelminigame inMario Party 8.
Overview[edit]
In the introduction, the first player throws a lasso and yanks back abarrel before the game starts.
Each player must use a lasso to reel in barrels from the spinning wheel, adding the numbers marked on them to their score; the numbers are 5, 10, 30, and 50. A player must twirl their lasso enough to make it glow so they can throw it. The player with more points after 20 seconds wins. The game ends in a tie if both players' scores are the same.
In the ending, the winner celebrates as the loser sits on the spinning wheel, dazed. If a tie occurs, both players do their losing animation, while their spinning wheels are not spinning.

The minigame's name is a pun on the title of the video gameBlazing Lazers, and it may also be a reference to the satirical Western filmBlazing Saddles.
