Aladdin's Lamp[1] is a mystical, golden lamp inhabited by agenie; it is possibly the same lamp from the story ofAladdin.

InThe Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Mario's Magic Carpet",Mario,Luigi,Toad, andPrincess Toadstool go out to search for Aladdin's Lamp, believing they can use its power to defeatKing Koopa.

It is eventually revealed that Aladdin's Lamp is among the collection of treasure of a gluttonous sultan namedSultan Pasbah. Mario, Luigi, and Toad, after escaping imprisonment by Sultan Pasbah, manage to steal Aladdin's Lamp, planning on using its power to escape from Sultan Pasbah's clutches, along with saving Princess Toadstool.

Eventually, Mario manages to release the genie of Aladdin's Lamp, who turns out to be very irritable and a complainer. After the genie is released, Aladdin's Lamp remains stuck on her foot for a large portion of the episode.

The genie later re-enters her lamp rather than spend any more time with Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool. The lamp proceeds to throw itself off themagic carpet it is on, only to land on King Koopa's magic carpet; the genie then exits Aladdin's Lamp and begins to furiously bother King Koopa.
