An alternate version of Metal Mario's artwork, from Mario Kart 7.
Metal Mario (originally also referred to asMetal-Head Mario) is a recurring power-up and variant ofMario that first appears inSuper Mario 64. Metal Mario is tougher, heavier, stronger, and virtually invincible except from long falls. This form is acquired through various means, such as by picking up aMetal Cap orMetal Box or using aMetal Mushroom Orb. Later games also feature other characters receiving the metal power-up, such asMario Party 6 and theSuper Smash Bros. series.
