More than a building, the Donald P. and Katherine B. Loker University Student Union, or LSU for short, is the heart of the California State University, Dominguez Hills campus. The union's facility, programs and services are specifically geared to enhance and develop the university community. At the LSU, students, faculty, staff and guests can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, grab a bite to eat, print a paper, meditate, reserve a meeting room or space, host an event, enjoy social and quiet spaces, unwind in the Games room, conduct a group study session, simply relax with friends, charge a mobile device and more! Current students are also encouraged to develop leadership skills by becoming involved with the LSU Board of Directors or Activities Office. Sustainability Efforts
The Loker Student Union is constantly trying to implement and coordinate environmentally friendly efforts. These are some of our sustainability initiatives.
- Automatic flushers in all urinals and toilets
- Automatic soap dispensers in all restrooms
- Recycling bin for cardboard boxes
- Recycling containers for bottles and cans throughout the building
- Reclaimed water irrigation throughout LSU landscape areas
- Filtered water bottle filling station
- Hand dryers in all restrooms
- Natural light in many areas of the facility
- Motion sensors light switches in all office areas
- LED lighting in public spaces & Ballrooms
