Visiting the Library

Lincolnwood Library welcomes kids and their caregivers to our Youth and Teen Services area. Our youth collections include chapter books, nonfiction books, graphic novels, movies, video games, and audiobooks chosen for kids in grades K-5. Whether you are looking for school support, or something fun to capture your interest, we have items for you! 


Computers and Printing

The Youth & Teen Services area has 8 dedicated computers for kids and teens. Kids are welcome to use these computers to work on homework or play games. Kids canprint from these computers, or from their own devices at the library. Read ourComputer and Internet policy for more information. 


Safe Child Policy

Lincolnwood Library strives to offer a safe, welcoming, friendly space for all, and requires young patrons to meet certain behavior expectations in order for everyone to enjoy the Library, regardless of age. 

Elementary school aged children in grades K-5 need a caregiver with them while at the library. Read ourSafe Child policy for more information.

Reading Challenges

Kids are invited to participate in the library’s annualLincolnwood Reads and Summer Reading programs. Sign up for the Summer Reading  program on ourBeanstack page or visit the Youth and Teen Services desk to get started with either program at designated times throughout the year.
