Maddie Ziegler Might Be Done With ‘Dance Moms’ but She Hasn’t Slowed Down One Bit
She’s come so far! FormerDance Moms starMaddie Ziegler began starring on the show at just nine years old and quickly became a household name. But ever since she decided to take her talents elsewhere and officially leave the show, fans have been wondering what Maddie is doing now?A lot and it’s not all dance related — the 16-year-old started dating, wrote a memoir, starred in a feature film, and most recently partnered with Tiffany & Co.Keep scrolling and check out Maddie’s latest adventures!
Since leaving the show, Maddie started dating a super cute Australian boy.
Maddie and her boyfriend,Jack Kelly, have been dating for a little more than a year and they are super cute together. The pair is always posting photos together on social media and aren’t afraid to show off a little PDA. She shared this photo of the two on Valentine’s Day with the caption, “my valentine ? i love you xx.”Check out their cutest moments together in the video below!
She scored a spot as a judge onSo You Think You Can Dance.
At 14, Maddie sat alongside Paula Abdul,Jason Derulo, and Nigel Lythgoe as a judge during the live shows ofSo You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.She spoke about the experience and said, “I was so nervous because I’m usually the one in their position, so to be on the other side watching people dance and judge them, it was really cool. The talent is just incredible. I can’t believe how good they are.”
She continued to dance across North America while on tour with Sia!
Sia and Maddie partnered up while she was still a huge part ofDance Moms, however, their friendship and professional relationship have grown so much over the past couple of years. Looking back, Maddie knows starring in Sia’s “Chandelier” music video completely changed her life.She said, “I didn’t know exactly who she was that well, being 11. So when I met her I was ‘Wow, she’s so incredible’. I thought I would do this one video and never see her again. But we became a dynamic duo.”
Maddie wrote a memoir in 2017 titled,The Maddie Diaries, and it became aNew York Times Best Seller.
She said the main reason for writing the book in the first place was to show everyone that she is just a regular teenager.Maddie explained, “I feel like a lot of people know me but there’s a lot of things that they haven’t learned yet. So, I’m here to teach them tips and tricks and a little bit more about my life.”
She made the leap into the film world starring in an animated and feature film.
The Pittsburgh native made an appearance in the 2016 animated film,Ballerina, and also made her feature film debut inThe Book of Henry. As if didn’t already have enough on her plate!
Maddie partnered up with the jewelry company, Tiffany & Co. for a new ad campaign.
The company’s new ad campaign features Maddie dancing and explaining how she’s gotten to where she is today. She said, “I want to go to the studio every single day and practice for hours and hours until I am amazing. It definitely takes strength to be a dancer — you have to put everything you have into every last piece of you.”
