Welsh international midfielder signed by Wilko as cover for thelikes of Gordon Strachan in the Division 2 promotion season. He wasa great midfielder with flair and was 100% committed to the causewhoever he played for. He only played in 3 games for Leeds at thestart of the season as the side was getting settled and wasreleased to Stoke City on a loan and later on a free when it wasclear he wasn't going to get a look-in. He returned to Wrexham fora final spell, and at the age of 37, scored the goal that knockedArsenal out of the FA Cup in January 1992.

Scouser Tommy says: To say this man Loves Man Utd is anunderstatement!! He sits on a panel of ex-footballers on a localradio station in Manchester Century 105.4FM. All he sees isred...typical Manc!!!

Andy McCall points out that I missed his 10-match/3-month stintat Everton from his career - good spot!

anon says: I listen to the football show on 105 and there's agreat setup there. Alan Kennedy, Graham Sharp, Gary Owen and thecheeky Micky Thomas. I'm a manc and even I like cheeky Micky. He'sa total red, but Gary's had the last laugh now, justice has beendone the last derby at our ground and we walloped them. ScouseTommy gets everywhere, he's never off the radio, he thinks the poolwill never get beaten. A real fan, just like us blues. Is Vennersthe right man? Or to many taking the money and not doing it? Harrynot ripping any turf up, and Viduka, need to change the setup. Itwas a good profit on Ferdinand, Anelka made him look like the boyhe is. Goodluck for the season, except when you meet us. Chris

Rob (Stokie) says: My hero! what a superb winger! HERO HERO!

H. Frafjord - Norway says: 1. I am glad we don't had the samehairdresser
2. I am glad I wasn't a naive youth player with him at the club.(...jailbird)
3. Great cup goal against boring Gunners in 91/92 seson forWrexham. :-)
4. Did he suffer from the same illness as Dreyfus? :-) (ref. PinkPanter)

Martin Jones says: i remember going to watch mickey play forwrexham in our promotion season of 77/78 when wrexham weredescribed by bill shankly as the best 3rd division team he had everseen.what an influential player he was he was like a pocket dynamohere there and everywhere, a bit like the whole of his fooyballcareer really.i remember when it came out he was leaving wrexham togo to man utd i was gutted so with a few of my mates we went topeggy jacksons in rhosrobin where he used to live and asked him whyhe was leaving wrexham!(what a stupid question, mind you i was only14 at the time).he will go down in history as one of the greatestwelsh footballers to ever pull on a wrexham shirt, mind you iwouldn't borrow a tenner off him!!

Taryn Mcilroy says: i used to live next door but 1 to mickeythomas with my mum and dad janet and frank mcilroy and my sisterskelly' jenni and stacey and my name is taryn mcilroy.
