Double Rainbow Over the Yorba Linda California Temple
A heavy November rainstorm produced a stunning double rainbow over theYorba Linda California Temple, which has been under construction for approximately two-and-a-half years, having started about a year after groundbreaking. There are currently four dedicated temples in Southern California, and the temple in Yorba Linda will be the fifth. Members in the area are eagerly awaiting an announcement of the open house and dedication dates from the First Presidency.

Art Glass Installed in the Port Vila Vanuatu Temple Tower
Under the deep blue skies of the South Pacific, the beautifulPort Vila Vanuatu Temple continues to rise. Precast concrete panels have been secured to the structural frame, including the inscription panel at the base of the tower that readsHoliness to the Lord – The House of the Lord, written in Bislama. In the main body of the tower, art glass windows have been installed. A gold-colored spire will be added to the top of the temple tower.

Community Event Held for the Freetown Sierra Leone Temple
To help neighbors of theFreetown Sierra Leone Temple better understand the significance of this house of the Lord, a community event was held on site on November 8, 2025. Elder Kenneth Pambu, Area Seventy, expressed the enthusiasm of the country's 35,000 Church members who are looking forward to participating in family ordinances once the temple is dedicated. A gift to the Community Chief was also presented in appreciation of the support offered by the community throughout construction. The event concluded with a touching musical number presented by a group of Primary children.

Cladding the Front Portico of the Anchorage Alaska Temple
Plastic sheeting covers the scaffolding at theAnchorage Alaska Temple where temperatures have dropped, and snow blankets the ground. Hanging brackets have been fastened to the front portico of the temple, and the first stone pieces have been set in place. The new temple will replace the existing temple that is still operating in the southeast corner of the property. Ground was broken for Alaska's second temple two months ago inFairbanks.

Yuma Arizona Temple Location Announced and Rendering Released
The location for theYuma Arizona Temple has been announced as a nearly 7-acre site located at the corner of East 36th Street and South 8 East Avenue in the City of Yuma. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 18,500 square feet with an accompanying ancillary building. There are currently six dedicated temples in Arizona, and plans have been announced for the three more in Yuma,Queen Creek, andFlagstaff.

Willamette Valley Oregon Temple Open House and Dedication
A public open house for theWillamette Valley Oregon Temple has been announced for Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, May 9, 2026, excluding Sundays. The event will be preceded by a media day on Monday, April 20, followed by two days of tours for invited guests. Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedication on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The dedicatory session will be broadcast to all units in the temple district and rebroadcast at 2:00 p.m.

"From the moment we arrived, we have felt the warmth of your spirits and the strength of your faith," said Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the dedication of theBahía Blanca Argentina Temple on Sunday, November 23, 2025. The year 2025 marked the 100th anniversary of the dedication of South America for the preaching of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. "What a great blessing to conclude this beautiful year of celebration with the temple dedication," said Elder Soares.

Groundbreaking Event Held for the Brussels Belgium Temple
Elder Jack N. Gerard, First Counselor in the Europe Central Area, presided over theBrussels Belgium Temple groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, November 22, 2025. "Brussels is a city where many of thy children from various lands come together in union to find peace, prosperity, and understanding in this world," said Elder Gerard in his site dedicatory prayer. The ceremony was broadcast in five languages, allowing members in the region who speak different languages to participate. The temple will be constructed within an existing building located on Avenue des Arts near the Royal Palace of Brussels. Construction is scheduled to begin early next year.

Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple: Another House of the Lord for Asia
The construction of Taiwan's second temple continues in the southern city of Kaohsiung where scaffolding surrounds the concrete structural walls and steel framework for the steeple. There are currently 11 dedicated temples in Asia located in 6 countries. Additional temples are planned or under construction in 6 more Asian countries including Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

Wrapping Up Construction at the Ephraim Utah Temple
Major construction of theEphraim Utah Temple is winding down, and furnishing of the interior is expected to begin in the next few weeks. No dates have been announced for the open house and dedication, but they are expected to take place sometime next year. The dedication of the temple will mark a major historical milestone for Ephraim, which is home to approximately 6,367 residents.

Exterior Cladding Underway at the Teton River Idaho Temple
With the structural frame in place for theTeton River Idaho Temple, construction of the exterior is advancing across multiple phases. First, steel studs for exterior walls are secured to the heavy steel beams. Next, sheathing boards are attached to the wall frame and coated with a waterproofing sealant. After the horizontal hanging brackets are bolted into place, the stone veneer panels are installed.

Installing Permanent Fencing at the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple Site
Permanent fencing has been installed along the north side of theProvo Utah Rock Canyon Temple site, allowing the privacy screen to be moved to the new fence and opening access to the newly installed sidewalk to pedestrians. On North Temple Drive and Temple View Drive, diagonal parking lines have been painted to accommodate street parking. On the front side of the temple, the entrance has been enclosed, more windows have been installed, and framing for architectural elements has been added.

Landscaping Progress on the Neiafu Tonga Temple Grounds
The planting strips along the edges of theNeiafu Tonga Temple site have been planted and covered with mulch, as have the planters and flowerbeds surrounding the temple. Grass is being established in the lawn sections, while crews continue finish work on the interior. The temple is a stunning landmark on the lush island of Vava'u where Church members are organized into four stakes.

Cupola Installed on the Knoxville Tennessee Temple
The bell-shaped cupola for theKnoxville Tennessee Temple has been installed atop the central tower. The burnished structure was staged on site for several months and was recently covered with metal shingles. It will be capped with a ball and spire finial. Stone cladding of the temple exterior has been underway for the past year and will soon be completed. The temple is the third to be constructed in Tennessee.

Renovations Progressing Inside the Adelaide Australia Temple
TheAdelaide Australia Temple has been closed for several months of extended maintenance to accommodate renovations of the interior. Projects include renovation of the baptistry and reconfiguration of the auxiliary areas to create administration facilities, temple worker amenities, and an updated nonpatron waiting area. The temple is currently projected to reopen in May 2026.

Landscaping the Grounds of the Wichita Kansas Temple
Landscapers at theWichita Kansas Temple site are transforming the bare earth into beautiful strips of grass, mulch, and young plants. The southeast lawn has seen the installation of lamp posts, benches, and round pot planters, and a grassy berm has been created between the property fence and sidewalk where trees are being planted. On the temple exterior, decorative window headers continue to be installed.

Salt Lake Temple Sealing Room Chandeliers Moved to Assembly Room
Finish work is progressing on the sealing rooms located in the sealing wing of theSalt Lake Temple. The rooms were recently fitted with new chandeliers, while in the temple's top floor assembly room, the original chandeliers were restored and rehung. There will be 22 sealing rooms in all with 12 located in the north underground addition and 10 in the historic temple and sealing wing. Stone cladding of the entrance pavilions is nearly completed, and millwork is getting underway inside. A six-month open house celebration is scheduled to take place from April to October 2027.

Street and Sidewalk Improvements at the Springfield Missouri Temple Site
Improvements have been carried out to the public right-of-way surrounding theSpringfield Missouri Temple site. The roads have been widened and repaved, a driveway approach has been installed, and sidewalks and park strips have been added. The temple site is located in the southeast corner of Springfield near the intersection of South Farm Road and East Evans Road. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held before construction of the temple begins, but no date has been announced yet.

Alabang Philippines Temple Opens for Public Tours
The public is invited to tour the newAlabang Philippines Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Friday, November 21, through Saturday, December 13, 2025, except on Sundays. Tours are free, and no reservations are needed. The temple is located in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, and features design elements that reflect the beauty and cultural heritage of the Philippines. Its exterior and interior details include a representation of the white jasmine flower, or sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines.

Planting Trees on the Ribeirão Preto Brazil Temple Grounds
A variety of trees are being established on the grounds of theRibeirão Preto Brazil Temple, which will will offer shade, color, and a welcoming refuge for those visiting the sacred site. Gravel is being laid and compacted as a sub-base layer for the parking areas, while cladding of the temple exterior is working its way toward the tower. Construction of the beautiful temple and ancillary building has been underway for 17 months.

Preparing to Install the Modules for the Tarawa Kiribati Temple
Concrete footings have been poured and cured for the foundation of theTarawa Kiribati Temple. On top of those footings are anchor plates, which will be used to secure the prefabricated modules to the foundation. Shipments of the modules, which were manufactured in Mexico, have begun to arrive at the Port of Betio. Church membership continues to grow in Kiribati where there are now four stakes on the Tarawa Atoll and two districts in more distant island groups.

Fall Leaves Surround the Smithfield Utah Temple
Beautiful fall leaves are on display in Utah's Cache Valley where construction of theSmithfield Utah Temple has been underway for almost three-and-a-half years. The last few months have seen significant landscaping progress, and the recently installed stained-glass windows are a breathtaking sight at night. Finish work on the interior will advance over the winter months and into the spring.

Managua Nicaragua Temple in Final Stages of Construction
The number of temples in Central America continues to grow. Currently, there are eight dedicated temples located in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panama. TheMiraflores Guatemala City Guatemala Temple will be the ninth, and theManagua Nicaragua Temple will be the tenth and the first in Nicaragua. Plans have been announced for three more temples: two more for Guatemala and one more for El Salvador.

Dazzling Auroras Light the Skies Over the Cody Wyoming Temple
A powerful geomagnetic storm colored the skies last night in dazzling displays of the northern lights over large portions of the United States, Canada, and Europe. Auroras were seen in the western state of Wyoming, where theCody Wyoming Temple is currently under construction. It the third temple to be built in the state, following theStar Valley Wyoming Temple (2016) andCasper Wyoming Temple (2024).

Lighting the Exterior of the Fort Worth Texas Temple
The architectural lighting system for theFort Worth Texas Temple has been installed, and testing is underway. The illuminated tower is a stunning sight from the streets of the surrounding neighborhood. Panes of stained glass have been installed in the tower, and installation has begun on the main floor. The temple exterior has been completed, and landscaping is progressing daily. Construction has been underway for just over two years.

Stockholm Sweden Temple Enclosed Ahead of the Winter Months
The completed roof decking and exterior sheathing of theStockholm Sweden Temple have enclosed the structure ahead of the approaching winter months. The original building, dedicated in 1985, was closed for reconstruction in March 2023. Demolition was carried out in January and February 2024, and excavation for the replacement building began shortly afterward. The new temple will look very similar to the original, but it will be slightly longer and feature two levels, doubling the interior space.

Earthwork Progress at the Tampa Florida Temple Site
Earthworks are well underway at theTampa Florida Temple site and are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Outlines are visible for the temple foundation and parking lot islands. Subcontractors will soon be on site to carry out utility trenching and pipe fitting for the utilities that will service the property. Construction has been underway for over two months.

Calabar Nigeria Temple Location and Rendering Revealed
The location of theCalabar Nigeria Temple has been announced as a 7-acre property located on Atekong Drive in Calabar. Plans call for a single-story temple of 26,000 square feet along with patron housing, arrival facilities, and a meetinghouse. The exterior rendering for the temple has been published, but no groundbreaking date has been announced. There is currently one dedicated temple in Nigeria, two under construction, and four that have been announced for construction, including the temple in Calabar.

Location and Rendering Released for the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple
The location of theCoeur d'Alene Idaho Temple has been announced as a 10.91-acre property located at the corner of Hanley Avenue and Coeur Terre Boulevard on the western side of Coeur d'Alene. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 29,630 square feet, a meetinghouse, and an accompanying ancillary building. An exterior rendering of the temple has also been published, but no groundbreaking date has been announced.
