Biennale College is La Biennale di Venezia’s project dedicated to the practice of young people in the artistic fields and in the activities of the organizational structure of the Biennale.
Encouraging young talents, offering them the opportunity to work side by side with the masters to develop “creations” that will be part of our Artistic Programs: this is the spirit of the Biennale College, a well-fitted bridge that allows young people who wish to engage in one of the arts to do so under the finest conditions that an international institution can offer.
University students can improve their training through the internship experience of the Biennale College - Internships.
On 11 February2025, 8 projects have been selected for the Biennale College Architettura 2024/25.
Over 200 students, graduate students and emerging practitioners under the age of 30 from 49 countries around the world have joined the call for participation.

On the occasion of the60th International Art Exhibition (20 April - 24 November2024), 4 projects have been selected for the 2nd edition of the Biennale College Arte 2023/2024. Over 150 young emerging artists under 30 from 37 countries around the world have joined the call for participation.
The 4 finalists are Agnes Questionmark, Joyce Joumaa, Sandra Poulson, and Nazira Karimi.
As of October 2025 there are no calls aimed at graduates outside Italy for the Biennale College ASAC - Writing in Residence programme.
The Biennale College ASAC - Writing in Residence programme (Architecture, Theatre, Dance, Cinema, and Music) is open to young graduates/ under 30 from all over the world with an excellent knowledge of Italian language, spoken and written. The Sponsor of the Biennale College ASAC - Writing in Residence 2025 is Swiss Seaside Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2008 in Switzerland that supports projects related to children, youth, family and the environment.
The previous calls for Writing on Architecture, Writing on Cinema, Writing on Dance, and Writing on Theatre were launched on 18 April 2025; Writing on Music was launched on 12 August 2025 (all deadlines expired).
Biennale College - Blend is anew programme ofLa Biennale di Venezia with all its Artistic Directors and Departmentsdesigned for works that do not conform to a predefined form. Biennale College - Blend will be aspace for young artists who wish to explore stories, ideas, and themes without an initial structure,creating complex experiences that may include multiple forms of expressionsuch as music, visual arts, audiovisual media, performing arts, role-playing and more.
The programme aims to support the development of6 international projectspresented by6 artists,accompanied by one member of their production team from all over the world,with aged between 18 and 30 (on the call deadline date). The projects should be at concept stage and must berooted in an audiovisual element, involving at least two other art forms.
BecauseBiennale College– Blend is a project focused on supporting the birth of brand new hybrid artistic projects, the coaching will also be innovative, using a Larpapproach. Larp is an immersive storytelling method where the participants collaboratively both creates and experiences a shared narrative. The focus is on direct participation and shared creation.

In2025 the Biennale College Cinema announced its 14th edition with two calls for applications aimed at Italian and International teams composed of a director and a producer.
TheBiennale College Cinema – Italia call for applications is reserved for Italian director/producer teams. The call was open from 16 January to 14 April 2025.
TheBiennale College Cinema – International call is reserved for International director/producer teams, and will be open from 6 May to 7 July 2025.

10th edition (2024-2025) of theBiennale College Cinema – Immersive:
The new call for applications was announced on 6 May 2025, aimed at 12 immersive projects (among these 2 from Italy), of up to 30-minute duration that can be made within € 75,000 and completed in 2026. It is essential that the projects submitted can only be realized using immersive technologies.
The Call will be openfrom 6 May to 7 July 2025 (23:59 CET) to teams of director/producer from all over the world, both at their first, second or third immersive project.

In2025, Biennale College Danza has announced two calls for applications aimed at young dancers and choreographers.
We are looking foryoung dancers (+18 > 28 years on the closing date of the call) with at least three years vocational (or equivalent) training in dance at a high technical level and who are creatively curious, daring and open-minded.

We are looking forearly career choreographers (+18 years) who have presented at least two original creations in public and who have a committed interest in developing their choreographic practice through participation in the programme.

For both calls, the selection is open to participants from all over the world.
Deadline for applications: 6 March 2025.
For2025, the Biennale College Musica has announced theselection of up to 5 projects by composers, sound artists and performers for a residency, research and production programme of new projects to be presented at the 69th International Festival of Contemporary Music (11 > 25 October 2025), titledLA STELLA DENTRO.
The eligible musical project categories are:
· live performance (with optional audiovisual component)
· acousmatic composition with multi-channel diffusion
The call for applications will be open from 13 February to 13 March 2025.

For the2026 programme, the Biennale College Teatro announced on 12 November 2025 two calls for applications aimed atItalian directors and playwrights for the new edition of the Biennale College Teatro 2026-2027.
A furtherinternational call inviting applicants to participate in severalworkshops will be announced later in 2026.
The newcall for applications of the Biennale College Internship for theperiod January - May 2026 was announced on 13 November 2025.
A learning experience on the field, organized as a curriculum-required internship for undergraduate or graduate university students who wish to enrich their training in the fields of organization, management, administration, technical support, editorial work, communication, etc., in other words, the work that is done every day within the organizational structure of La Biennale di Venezia.
Just like a “College” experience, the young people selected for the internship are supervised individually in their training, stimulated and encouraged to seek the greatest benefit from the moment they arrive to the last day of their internship, which will also include social events designed to share experiences and create an active community.
The call is reserved for university students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme of a University based in Italy.
