167 probationer Gardaí assigned across the country

167 probationer Gardaí assigned across the country

100 men and 67 women have been attested and will be assigned to Garda divisions across the country by the Garda Commissioner.

A total of 36 Safety Partnerships is being established across the country in each local authority area with up to 30 members in each.

The signing of the commencement order enables the Authority to start accepting and processing applications

Niall Collins TD, Minister of State with special responsibility for International Law, Law Reform and Youth Justice, represented Ireland at a meeting of European Justice and Home Affairs Ministers held in Cyprus.
