For Biology major Kevin Kotyk, the Dolan Center for Science and Technology is the heart of campus. It’s where his passion for the life sciences comes to life, whether he’s working as a research and teaching assistant or volunteering his time with JCU EMS.
How has JCU prepared you for what’s next?
— Liv Ziccardi '28
For sophomore Political Science major, Liv Ziccardi, there's no shortage of ways JCU is preparing her for what's next. Liv is a member of the Arrupe Scholars Program and the Honors Program, is engaged in sorority life, serves as a senator for student government, and is an active participant in campus ministry.
What’s been your most inspiring class?
— Oumou Diallo '26
Oumou Diallo is an International Business major at JCU. She leads as president of the International Business Club and serves as a member of the First-Gen Network. Her coursework and campus involvement reflect her passion for leadership, global perspectives, and community engagement.

John Carroll University Names Dr. Amanda Sohl as Vice President for Enrollment Management
University News
John Carroll University has announced the appointment of Dr. Amanda Sohl as its next Vice President for Enrollment Management, effective March 4. Sohl will serve as the university’s chief enrollment officer and join the senior leadership team.

John Carroll is the newest member of NCAA Division III’s North Coast Athletic Conference, and our 700+ student-athletes compete with pride and purpose—playing for each other, not just the win. That team spirit extends beyond varsity sports, with 16 club teams and 20 intramural leagues and tournaments. However you play, you’ll find a supportive Blue Streak community—on the field, in class, and all across campus.
