At the Fall Tokyo Game Show held last weekend,Sony Computer Entertainment and its PlayStation 2, in so many ways, was the master of ceremonies, the main feature, and the final act, all in one. The arrival of the PlayStation 2 -- and playable games for it -- were the prime reasons to visit TGS and see first-hand what the next generation of videogames is truly all about.

For those who missed our stories on the PlayStation 2 announcement last week, the new Sony platform, PlayStation 2, was there in full regalia. Sony showed off fully playable versions ofTekken Tag Tournament,Gran Turismo 2000,Eternal Ring,Dark Cloud,A-Train,PoPoLoCrois 3, and viewable games, such as Square's gorgeousEhrgeiz sequel,The Bouncer, and KOEI's epicKessen.

Of course, Sony's booth was one of the biggest of the show, so not only did its PS2 system and games get the royal treatment, but so did the DVD aspect of the system (shown to the side of the main stage), as well as upcoming PlayStation games, such asLegend of Dragoon,Gran Turismo 2, andCrash Team Racing.

For full impressions of nearly every game at the Sony booth, IGNPS2 has full stories on the most significant games in complete detail. See related stories for more.
