By Justin Calvert on
CommentsCroteam has recently updated its officialWeb site with a post from its CEO, Roman Ribaric, in which he discusses the ongoing development of Serious Sam 2 for the Xbox and PC. According to Ribaric, development is currently on schedule, and the game should be finished sometime in the second quarter of 2004.
Croteam's new Serious Engine 2 technology is allowing the Serious Sam 2 level designers to create much more complex architecture with at least 100 times more polygons than in theoriginal game. Ribaric's post also mentions that the sequel will feature advanced vertex and pixel shaders, dynamic shadows, and improved enemy AI.
Serious Sam 2 is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2004, and Croteam is planning to release a technology demo in the not-too-distant future. For more information on Serious Sam 2, check out ourprevious coverage of the game.
