| Notes: | TheNottinghamshire Flag is a community flag proclaiming the unique identity of this historic English county. The flag is a white-edged red cross on a green field, with a central green archer on a white shield. This archer is a silhouette of James Woodford’s bronze statue of Robin Hood, which stands close to Nottingham Castle. Andy Whittaker of BBC Nottingham organised a design competition, prompted by listeners Jane Bealby and Mike Gaunt. The registered flag is a composite, drawing elements from several different entries. |
